We travel only during the day and make sure we are where we need to be by dark.

Kids under 18 can travel with a birth certificate but all other must have a passport. If you are applying for a passport be aware there is a regular passport book and a passport card. The card, while less costly, can not be used for air travel.

Dollars will be accepted most everywhere you go. The benefit of having pesos is that the exchange rate may vary and you won't always get the most for you US dollar in places outside the greater Ensenada area.

Most larger restaurants and chains like McDonald's have safe food. You can always check with us to see if we know anything about local places to eat. You should always drink bottled or purified water, and sodas and juices in plastic bottles are best. The glass bottles are reused and may not be as clean as we would like. You can purchase purified ice but always check for the word purified or purificado on the bag.

We know of a good local doctor that only charges 200 pesos per visit, about $20 US dollars.
There are also emergency rooms and clinics in downtown Ensenada. -
Yes, the missionary on staff speaks both English and Spanish.

For some projects it is beneficial to have people with specific trade skills. Most projects can be done by anyone with the desire to participate. You can check with the missionary at Casa to see if you need any special skills for the project you are planning.

Yes, depending on the project. They are also welcome to play with our children.

Yes, we have contacts of different ministries that host groups in our area. Check under the Contact Us/Places to Stay tab or send us an email requesting the contact information.

The weather varies. It can range from being very cold and rainy in the winter to being very humid and hot in the summer. We can advise you of the current weather conditions if you send us a request via email.

We suggest that all visitors wear modest clothing and tennis shoes.

We are very grateful for donations. Please put donations of clothing in suitcases. Please, no plastic bags unless they are new items with tags. Large quantities of plastic bags can cause border patrol to stop your vehicle.
